“I am running the great North run on Sunday. Maybe you might like to sponsor me? It’s a little over a year since my quadruple heart bypass so I am proud (& extremely blessed) to be attempting the half-marathon so soon.

My donation website is http://original.justgiving.com/alexzarifeh I shall be running (plodding?) as you worship!”

Please join me in praying for Alex and if you are able in sponsoring him.

August saw a new farmers at The Pavilion, and what a great success! Its hard to put a number on those that came but, in the region of 3.5k visitors joined us. Our bar and cafe saw bumper days trading and all those that took stalls where delighted with the day, many booking up for next time!

We took the opportunity to officially open our patio, and were delighted to have our councillors Nigel Dawkins, Tim Huxtable, Rob Seeley and their families along as Nigel officially opened it. Our thanks to them and to the charities that contributed to its purchase, namely Veolia, Birmingham City Council community chest, and others.
